Preparing to Teach the Lifelong Sector
From September 2007, all new entrants to teaching in the FE sector will be required to complete a new award which will prepare them to teach. This new level 3 qualification is called Preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector (PTLLS for short.)
PTLLS will be mandatory for any new teacher who teaches publicly funded provision and by 2010 all those in receipt of government funding who teach will have to be qualified.
Please note that all 3 sessions will need to be attended in order to obtain this qualification
