ILM Level 3 Award In First Line Management

The qualification enables learners to build up their leadership and management skills and knowledge, while gaining recognition for their professional achievements. Assessment of ILM qualifications is practically-based, through work-based assignments, learning is transferred directly into the work environment – to the immediate benefit of employers and learners alike.

Topics offered as part of the qualification include those we feel are most commonly needed by new or potential managers, such as:

-Introduction to Leadership
-Motivating to Perform in the Workplace
-Organising and Delegating
-Problem Solving and Decision-making
-Recruiting, selecting and inducting new staff in the workplace

 The programme is a joint venture between Independent Training and Bredon Hill Consultancy.

Method of Programme Delivery

-Pre-course work e.g. questionnaires
-Trainer input
-Group discussions
-Individual and group exercises.
-Post-course work-based assignments

 Entry Requirements

 There are no formal entry requirements.  However you should ideally be in a first-line management role or working towards a management position.

 ILM Membership

Candidates will receive 12 months ILM membership as part of the programme fee.  This provides free management resources, a monthly ILM magazine and discounts on music/film DVDs and holidays.
