Falls can have a devastating effect on anyone but in particular the older person. This course aims to promote understanding of the common factors linked to falls. It includes the importance of undertaking falls risk assessments and interventions that can be used to reduce the risk. This guideline covers older people living in the community, either at home, in a retirement complex, or in a residential or nursing home.
Developed within the recommendations of NICE Clinical guideline 21, National Patient Agency and Age UK
