The purpose of the course is to ensure that food handlers have an understanding of the parameters which affect Food Safety. Employees who handle food will gain a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved. They will have the confidence and expertise to deliver quality food safely to customers.

Qualification information
Designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing, hospitality or retail settings where food is prepared, cooked and handled. Candidates will be required to achieve a pass mark of 20 out of 30 in order to gain a CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Retail.
